Senioritas
Satu pertanyaan, apakah senioritas ditunjukkan dengan sikap congkak, sombong dan kalo bicara tidak pernah memikirkan perasaan orang lain ? Jawabannya mungkin tidak. Mungkin lebih baik senioritas ditunjukkan dengan sikap tenang, berwibawa dan bisa membantu yg junior. Tapi itulah sekarang yg saya hadapi dengan teman kerja shift saya. Banyak orang berfikir mungkin suku Batak memang sedikit keras, tapi tidak semua khan ? Bagaimana dengan teman sekerja saya yg satu ini. Sikapnya sungguh2 menjengkelkan dan tidak menunjukkan sama sekali keseniorannya. Berbicarapun tidak pernah memikirkan perasaan orang lain, apakah akan tersinggung atau tidak. Sikap sombong dan congkak selalu ditunjukkan kepada semua orang, apakah dia tidak pernah berfikir, bahwa sebaiknya semakin umur bertambah sikap welas asih dan bijaksana selalu ditunjukkan. Jadilah seperti padi, yg makin berisi makin merunduk.

14 April itu
Sekitar jam 18.00, berangkat dr rumah dengan sedikit lesu karena kembali berkutat dengan pekerjaan sebagai seorang perwira radio yg menjalani tugas selama 2 minggu, dengan menumpang taksi no. 3 menuju mulus langsung ke Pelabuhan Unocal di Semayang. Dan sekitar jam 19.00 lewat 10 menit kapal yg bernama Kaltim Mekar itupun melaju cepat ke rig yg bernama Ocean Baroness, tiba sekitar jam 23.30 mlm. Dengan sedikit mata yg ngantuk, tiba di kantor seperti biasa, rupanya teman kerja yg satu ini tidak bisa melanjutkan kerjanya untuk shift malam, padahal kita sudah deal kalo dia yg akan kerja malam ... dengan lemasnya dia berkata ... AKU TIDUR DULU YA, NGANTUK BENER NIH, TADI DIKAPAL TIDAK TIDUR SIH ....

Dengan rahmat Allah YME, maka selesai sudah web log yg saya buat yg khusus dipersembahkan buat rekan2 sekerjaku di kantor. Web log ini dibuat hanya untuk alat komunikasi berbagi cerita mengenai suka, duka, karir, pekerjaan bahkan keluarga. KERASNYA MENJALANI KERJA SEBAGAI SEORANG KULI MINYAK

Begitu berat mencari sesuap nasi, dengan mata ngantuk dan sedikit mabuk laut, sekitar jam satu lewat 15 menit kita nyampe ditempat kerja, eh ternyata belum bisa naik karena ada gas yg terlalu besar, sampe2 crane pun ngga bisa bergerak buat ngangkat penumpang ... aduh mata udah 3 setengah watt, untung masih ada sedikit kekuatan untuk sadar diri. Baru sekitar jam 3 pagi, kita mulai diangkat crane pake yg namanya personal basket, aduh begitu cape dan berat mata ... tapi syukurlah sampe dengan selamat.

Lars Johann Yngwie Lannerback was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on the last day of June, 1963. That same year, the Beatles had just emerged from Liverpool, England, soon to make their mark on music history. But it would be another twenty years before a lanky, tousel-haired Swede with hungry eyes would stand the music world on its head once again. The intervening years before 1983 when Yngwie J. Malmsteen was officially discovered by the music industry provided an environment ripe for the development of a musical prodigy.

For anyone interested in music of substance, the metal scene of the early '80s was a pretty bleak place, dominated by cheesy hair bands hawking bubblegummy rock that had been dolled up with beefy guitars and naughty lyrics. Metallica, along with contemporaries like Megadeth and Anthrax had something altogether different in mind. Influenced by punk principles of raw musical directness and lyrical focus fraught with a dark and brooding idealism, they helped lay the groundwork for a whole new era of metal.

It all began in the fall of 1985 when students guitarist John Petrucci and bassist John Myung saw drummer Mike Portnoy jamming in one of the practice rooms at the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston. Back then, and to some degree now, rock music was frowned upon by professors and their fellow musicians, making it a small miracle they were able to meet at all. The two later bumped into Mike in the cafeteria and found they had more in common than tastes in music; all had grown up on Long Island. "I remember I was wearing a Talas shirt that day and to them that was a dead giveaway," recalls Mike. "It was obvious that all our heads were in the same place and to find that they were from home was amazing because there are people from all over the world at Berklee. Finding two people that were completely in sync with me and the fact that they lived 40 minutes away was like a blessing from God."

RHAPSODY

Rhapsody is a metal outfit composed of Fabio Lione (vocals), Luca Turilli (guitar), Alex Staropoli (keyboards), Alessandro Lotta (bass), and Alex Holzwarth (drums). The group was formed in Italy in the late '90s by Turilli and Staropoli. They recruited Daniele Carbonera to serve as their drummer. The band was already working on a debut, 1997's Legendary Tales, before they connected with Lione (known as Joe Terry during his time in the band Labyrinth), phoning him from the studio to arrange for him to join them. The band followed up that album with an EP, entitled Emerald Sword, and the album Symphony of Enchanted Lands the following year. Shortly after the release of Symphony, Carbonera departed. His replacement was found in the personage of Holzwarth. They would not release anymore material until 2000 in the form of an EP (Holy Thunderforce) and an album (Dawn of Victory). In 2001, the group released Rain of a Thousand Flames and then in 2002, Power of the Dragon Flame.
